[technology taskforce] Skype : support for older Skype (7 and below) to end November 1 2018

This wouldn't be such a problem is Skype 8 was better designed than 7.
(especially for the desktop version)
I hear they've fixed some of the "bugs/features" in a subsequent version
of Skype 8. Is that version "usable"?
