I am unable to confirm just now whether comments are still being accepted at this time but copy in a colleague who is involved in this process.

In the meantime, can I suggest that you send this request to twochar_comments-bounces at icann.org<mailto:twochar_comments-bounces at icann.org>, so that if comments are still being accepted, the objection from the Dominican Republic pertaining to the use of "do" under .country, .space, .host, .zone, and .domains will be on record?

On behalf of the government of the Dominican Republic, and with the advice of the ccTLD .do, we present our objection to the release of "do" under the following TLDs:

Country (could be subject of abuse by third parties in the promotion or publication of information relating the Dominican Republic)
Space (can be confusing because can come into conflict with the concept of space .do names)
Host (confusion among users regarding the operation of the ccTLD .do)
Zone (confusion among users regarding the operation of the ccTLD .do)
Domains (confusion among users regarding the operation of the ccTLD .do)
We consider that the registration of "do" under these TLDs can cause confusion for users regarding the operation of the ccTLD .do
