In comp.sys.hp.hpux you write:

>Saudi Arabia goes to daylight saving
>time at midnite on 3/4/98, ie tomorrow nite.

Can you please give more details about this?
Did Saudi Arabia just start using daylight-saving time this year?
Does Saudi Arabia use the same daylight-saving rules as Jordan, or some
other rules? (Jordan switches forward on the first Friday in April at
00:00, and switches back on the third Friday in September at 01:00.)

Do you know whether other nearby countries are also newly observing DST?

Thanks for any information you can provide; I'll include it in the
public domain daylight-saving time database at ftp://elsie.nci.nih.gov/pub/.
