As a candidate for membership of the European Union, Lithuania will
observe Summer Time in 2003, changing its clocks at the times laid
down in EU Directive 2000/84 of 19.I.01 (i.e. at the same times as its
neighbour Latvia). The text of the Lithuanian government Order of
