Turkey to use EU rules starting 2007

Hello,

Until 2006, Turkey seemed to start/end DST at 1:00 standard time, as
reported earlier.

Starting 2007 though, it seems that they are adopting EU's 1:00 UTC
start/end time, according to the following page (2007-03-07):

http://www.ntvmsnbc.com/news/402029.asp

"Turkey is to shift to daylight savings time on the last Sunday in
March, with clocks being moved forward one hour at 3:00 am on March 25.
Summer time will end on October 28, with clocks being put back one hour
at 4.00 am."

The old 1:00s was used last time in October 2006 as the following news
article suggest:

http://www.hurriyet.com.tr/english/5305826.asp
"The day-light saving implementation will end at 2.00 a.m. on October
29th, 2006 as the clocks will be set back by one hour..."

Best regards,
Steffen
