Hello,
France uses 'de facto' Eastern time zone 1h. This transition has
occurred by a switch to summer time in February 1940. There never was
back in the winter time at the time of the meridian of Greenwich.
France adopted DST in 1976 (Official Decree number 75 866 on September
19, 1975) so that some say France uses a simple summer time in winter
and double summer time in summer but in practice its official time for
winter is UT + 1hr East and summer time is UT +2hr East. (Sorry but I
do not understand the interest of abbreviations given to time zones).
