We have established a new complimentary mailing list called tz-announce, which will be used solely for low-volume announcements of new editions of the tzdata or tzcode bundles, and other administration-related communications. A few clarifications:

— Announcements will also be posted to tz at iana.org<mailto:tz at iana.org>, so if you wish to continue to participate in the tz list, you do not need to subscribe to tz-announce as well.
— If you wish to unsubscribe from this list, either email "unsubscribe" to tz-request at iana.org<mailto:tz-request at iana.org>, or visit https://mm.icann.org/mailman/listinfo/tz and enter your email address at the bottom of the page.
— While the tz-announce list is complimentary, I really ought to have said complementary.
