Thanks, it wouldn't hurt for clarity, though (as others
have pointed out) it isn't necessary -- even something
bizarre like 1/2 would do as a valid null pointer
in that context.  (I've often wanted half a pointer,
but alas C rounds it down to the null pointer....)
