MSDN documentation says they're using the IANA database, so I would assume it's a typo in the docs.


As soon as I update to Windows 8.1 I'll verify this.

If they are really returning "Americas/Los_Angeles" then they can't be
using the tz database unmodified, as its name omits the first "s".
