[tz] If you lie about the time zone, your iPhone will have its revenge

It appears that also causes the problem, as would following their
workaround instructions. Apple article at
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205727 says:
If your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus battery percentage doesn't update

If you change the time on your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus manually or
*change time zones when traveling*, you might notice that the battery
percentage doesn't update.

It recommends: 1. Restart your iPhone; 2. Change settings to Set
Automatically.

These instructions should probably be reversed as it changes the time
zone, which causes the problem!
