In what sense tzdb-latest.tar.lz is "core internet data"? Even
tzdata-latest.tar.gz is not used by the systems on the internet directly.
System providers distribute derived binary files with system patches
instead. The code and test data in tzdb archives is hardly of interest to
users who would have trouble installing lzip.
