[tz] New open-source zoneinfo compiler

Hi,

In case this might be of use to others, I’ve posted a new project on GitHub, https://github.com/kshetline/compact-time-zone-generator <https://github.com/kshetline/compact-time-zone-generator>.

This is a parser and compiler written in Java that produces output primarily meant to be used with web apps. The project also includes an Angular demo app which consumes this format of compiled time zone data.

The README for the project explains more, and provides some demo links, which might help decide if this is a project that might be useful to share on the discussion list.
