Thanks to all. I applied the attached proposed patch to the development version.

I had some trouble reading that Hong Kong newspaper: the URL is enormous and 
apparently it requires Flash to read, which these days is problematic for 
security reasons (my browser refuses to run Flash). So I just put in the root of 
the URL.
