In a major speech today covering several topics, European Commission President
Jean-Claude Juncker said the commission is proposing ending daylight saving time
in the European Union next year. Under the proposal, member states will move
their clocks forward in March 2019 as usual, and then chaos will ensue.
Well, not exactly chaos, but each member state will be on its own as to whether
to move clocks back in October 2019. It should make for interesting times in
Ireland and elsewhere.
Healy C. Irish people could never have to change clocks from 2019 as EU propose
end to laws. Irish Sun. 2018-09-12 10:50 +01.
