I doubt whether a new tzdb release is needed for the post-2022f changes 
seen so far, as they are merely changes to comments or for unusual ports 
(macOS is not one of the problematic ports). Of course more-serious bugs 
could exist that we don't know about yet.

Yesterday I worried that we'd need a new release soon for events on the 
ground, as yesterday's change to Mexican law allows for some local 
tweaking which in theory could occur during the next week or so, as the 
next major event is when Ciudad Juárez starts disagreeing with its 
neighbor El Paso on November 6. However, I now see that the two cities 
disagreed in the past as recently as fall 2009, so quite possibly they 
will simply shrug and agree to disagree during winter from now on.
