[vip] Support brief for the Latin script study

I had previously posted a support brief prepared for the Latin study to
the general VIP list. I have now posted an update to that text which you
will find at:

The differences between the current version 1.1 and the previous 1.0
include the correction of errors in the specimen glyphs in the script
table and changes to its scope, additional examples of types of variant
relationships, and a number of clarifications and stylistic edits. It is
my intention to prepare a final version 2.0 once all of the requirements
that might be placed on it in the context of the Latin group's work have
become clear, and to reflect other commentary received during the course
of the project.
