Patrik -

I passed along the announcement of the draft Integrated Issues Report to the Unicode list after the announcement was published. I should have included in my note that this was a draft report, that’s my mistake.

The Integration Team met in Marina del Rey, California on 12-13 Dec (and virtually throughout the week). The team has put an immense amount of time into the report, and I believe did pick up many of the comments made on the VIP list.

I’ll leave it to others with the Integration team to answer your specific process questions. Perhaps I should have included more explanatory text in note to Unicode to explain what this was, or waited to send, but since the announcement was public, I didn’t see the harm in passing along to that as we have done so previously with the case study reports.

A number of comments where sent in.

Then today I saw an announcement on an external mailing list (Unicode) that a public comment period have started on some version of the document.

Questions:

Are these the same documents?

(I admit I have not done a detailed comparison, but I do not have energy comparing a word document with a PDF at this time of the day...)

If so, why did not the public comment period start on Dec 6?

If not, why was not a new version sent to this list that was approved before it was opened for public comments?

I do have more questions on the process here, but what they are will depend on the responses on these two questions.
