Hi Göran,

We are writing to you as the co-rapporteurs for the Staff Accountability
subgroup of the CCWG WS2 on enhancing ICANN accountability.

The topic area for our work is one that we think will be of interest to you
as the incoming CEO, and we wondered if it would be possible to organise a
meeting of the group with you?

As Chief Executive, your significant role in setting the culture of the
staff side of ICANN’s work in important.  As you are relatively new in the
role, you have the opportunity to assess current approaches and shape them.

Hearing your thoughts about whether and/or how you plan to do that will
help guide the tone of our group’s work - and help identify how we can best
focus and contribute to ICANN being the responsive and accountable
organisation it needs to be.

An issue we would like to discuss with you is the ability for staff members
to be able to participate openly and safely  in this subgroup on staff
accountability. There is a strong feeling in the group on the need  for
safe staff participation in a group discussing their accountability. We
would appreciate your views, and if possible assurances, on this issue.

If you are interested in such a discussion let us know, and we can follow
up with more detail.
