Hi,

Speaking about mentors/guides, this is usually practised for the ICANN
fellows and i think it has been quite useful. Applying this to ALSes
however would mean that the particular ALS already has plan to attend a
particular ICANN meeting (with source of funding) and then arrangements for
mentors/guide can be done pre-meeting. Overall i think its a good thing to
have mentors walking one through the ICANN environ but we just need to
determine how effective this can be applied in a free setup like Atlarge
where most have diverse plans for the week (not like ICANN fellowship that
is program specific)

That said, i think another capacity building effort could be to
intentionally contact Janice and say "hey let us know if you need mentors
for folks interested in AtLarge" Or sending similar broadcast message to
ALSes. It can also be a remote based activity and not necessarily requiring
physical ICANN meeting.

Regards
