Hi Dev and all.
Please find below my response to your initial questions as follows for
further discussion:

Best of the day.

1* What would be the criterion for deciding if an ALS is not engaged in
your RALO/At-Large?

*I think there was some criterion set at the inception. A look at it would
help in determining if they are meeting the demands in their ALS
expectations.*

2* Do RALOs have a list of non-engaged ALSes?

*There should be a subtle research in this respect based on the
expectations outlined in the application as what they engage in vis a vis
current demands of ALS.*

*Act participation could be one of the criteria.*

3* What are possible approaches to deal with non-engaged ALSes?

*Nos 1 and 2 above must be taken into consideration to determine the No. 3.*

4- Decide to pick some ALSes to focus and mentor with? What criteria do we
use to pick which ones and why?

*The aforesaid research on ALS non-engagement will help in fashioning if
some need mentoring and in what areas, then viable members could be asked
to pick those for mentoring based on know-how and regional where necessary.*

5- Do we survey those non-engaged ALSes to find out why they are not
engaged? (A challenge is that they may not respond to a survey)

*This question is similar to offshoot of No. 2 above. But directly YES and
find out their challenges. You should not be concerned if they did not
respond, our concern is to do the needful which in this case is find out
via survey, period and then move on from there.*

6* How can ALSes, especially newer ALSes be more engaged when they join
At-Large?

*We may ask them to join a sub-committee after acceptance and then plan an
induction at the nearest ICANN to integrate them into the fold, especially
those they could work with and receive mentorship.*

*This could begin with a webinar/documentary on what is ALAC and ALS,
modalities of engagement.*

7- Perhaps by having the sort of material, not necessarily a beginner's
guide, but some form of infographcs and short videos are needed.

*A good idea needs no further colouration.*

8. Maybe we need to look at ICANN Learn, or Glenn's ebook project to see
how to convey these concepts on how ALSes can be involved. The At-Large
website redesign is also looking at these concepts of how we reach persons
to get involved.
*The concept eventually adopted must be web-based and accessible online at
all times.*
