[AT-Review] ATRT Schedule; something is missing

Dear all,

the ATRT schedule just circulated does not foresee a slot (slots) for discussions within the group. When we had last discussed the Cartagena schedule over the telephone I remember distinctly that we had agreed to having at least another meeting among ourselves (on Monday) after having met the Board.

We should exchanging views on the comments received. The most important and challenging point made by a number of contributors was that the ATRT should "walk the talk" by explaining in detail what it has done with the input it has received all along its work. This is a tough task. We should examine collectively the points raised (not that many) and agree on what we should give as reasons for having followed or not followed them. We cannot ask the Board to give a full explanation of its decisions including the follow-up given to the inputs received and not to that ourselves.

The comments we have received touch a number of difficult issues (from the absence of binding review mechanisms to suggestions that ICANN should be incorporated in a more "international" jurisdiction). Then there are a number of general comments about the readability/presentation of the whole document.

There is also a very reasonable suggestion to comment on our experience as a Review Team and give suggestions for the work of future Review Teams.

I have the impression that our work is not over yet.

Fabio
