Dear all,

Given that the audio recording are eventually made available, allowing
people to listen in does not make a huge difference.

However, I have indicated many times, that I am not sure that
broadcasting everything we do is such a great idea. We have accepted
that the group must have the possibility to have restricted sessions.
Broadcasting everything would limit the way we interact. And this will
play a greater role as we move to the important phase of discussing the
recommendations.

I believe that the conference calls are very close to restricted
sessions. So far I do not remember any discussion that I would
consider confidential, but the case might arise. Making
available the audiorecording afterwards allows the possibility of
eliminating a part of the conference call (perhaps indicating it).

I also suspect that allowing people to listen in would create additional
technical difficulties.

Fabio

recording and listening to our meetings (including teleconferences)

Dear ATRT please see below a copy of chat from the ATRT Skype channel
from earlier today raising a question on telechats and audiocasts of our
meetings, by Avri Doria; Can we respond/action before our Brussels
meeting please... (BTW at the APrIGF at the moment in Hong Kong I may
be slow in responding to the Skype Channel so any one else should feel
free to step in and react to questions or matters raised there)...

[6:13:10 AM] doriavr: have any of the ATRT telechats been audicast or
only the face to face.

[7:07:19 AM] Cheryl Langdon-Orr: They should all have MP3's made and
available let me follow up

<small section of non ATRT cross chatter has been redacted from this
transcript> <CLO>

[8:10:06 AM] doriavr: what i was wondering is whethr it was possible for
non members to listen in live like we could when the mtg was fact to
face? and if i am not supposed to ask on this list forgive me and let
me know where i should ask.

[8:11:04 AM] Cheryl Langdon-Orr: No Avri this list is thew right place
for such a question

[8:11:18 AM | Edited 8:11:46 AM] doriavr: it is getting so difficult
these days to know where one is allowed to talk, and where one is
allowed to listen and what we are allowed to know and what we are not
allowed to know.

[8:11:19 AM] doriavr: thanks

[8:13:14 AM] Cheryl Langdon-Orr: The telephonic meetings have currently
been recorded but have not advertised dial in details for non RT Members
to attend I will raise this matter for you and could only envisage that
should we need to go 'in camera' at any point in a meeting we might have
to make a hard stop in the call to ensure we are in camera but as I say
happy to raise the matter

[8:23:17 AM] doriavr: hi, the autiocast can be on another listen only
channel. we obviously dont have the right to speak (even i accept that)
but the chat mechanisms will be far more useful if we know what is being
said in realtime. thanks for considering it.

[9:17:35 AM] Cheryl Langdon-Orr: Indeed!
