Bill,

I believe that we agreed to modify the Charter to mandate a vote on future NomComm appointees.

Not sure what the next steps are though?

Elisa

Likewise.

What is the status of this issue? I have been more than a little busy with the ITU and other non-ICANN Internet Governance issues and haven't been able to keep up on all mail lists.

First however, I would like to make clear that NewsCorp is in no way questioning the integrity and competence of the candidates for the NomComm, all three would be excellent representatives.

I would also recommend that we amend the Bylaws to require elections for BC Nomcomm representatives.
