[bc-gnso] FOR REVIEW: BC comment on ICANN's focus for 5-year strategic plan

Dear Chris,

The original draft was the one that struck references to the public
interest in the vision statement and noted that public interest "will be
another layer for the community/staff to remember and adhere to." This is
one example but there are a couple others. I am not sure restoring these
points, which express skepticism about ICANN's public interest mission,
would help address David's concerns.

As I said, I was trying to make some edits for clarity, but I think what
you and David are suggesting is an openness to new content. While I could
take a crack at that, I think that it would be better coming from either
David or you. I don't want to misrepresent what either of you is thinking.

Cheers,

Aparna Sridhar
