Dear All,

I am really sorry for not being able to attend the last two calls owing to
some personal reasons.

So far as I can gather from going through the archives of this mailing
list, and I’m subject to correction here, the group is currently in the
process of producing two different documents, the ICANN and HR Chart,
correlating rights with policies, the first draft of which was sent to the
group by Marilia on the 8th of September, and the second one being the
paper mapping the relevant international CSR policies/standards and seeing
how they could be modified and applied to ICANN. The second document is
what we at CIS would be most interested in contributing towards.

As far as I am aware, and I’m subject to correction again, the document on
mapping the relevant CSR policies and standards has not been shared with
the members of this mailing list. In case the document is in the process of
being drafted, we’d be happy to give our inputs/suggestions, etc. either
before or after it is shared on the entire mailing list, whichever stage
the current controller(s)/drafter(s) feel would be best suited to the
drafting process.

Apart from this, and as suggested by Rafiq and others on this mailing list,
my colleague Pranesh Prakash has already joined the sub-group created by
the CCWG-Accountability to discuss the human rights related commitment to
be included in the ICANN Bye-laws. I am also in the process of joining that
sub-group and should be able to do so shortly.
