To some degree there is already separate financial reporting for the new gTLD application program and general operational revenue and expenses.

The auction fees are also segregated and won’t be spent until the ICANN community reaches agreement on how they should be used.

The staff have also moved to quarterly financial statements and CEO/CFO briefings.   This brings ICANN in line with typical practices for publicly listed corporations in the USA.
