Dear colleagues,

If you do not already know her, Mei Lin is a wonderfully knowledgeable participant for this group and a dear colleague that is making a difference in her work in the People Centered Internet [among other endeavors]. She will be at IGF, so those who are there, can "informally" have coffee;  nothing decisional, but just to further informal discussions, which I hope will also then contribute to info sharing.

Per the new gTLD Auction Proceeds CCWG meeting earlier today, please share with the list if you are interested to volunteer for the small group to make recommendations on how to cluster the list of external experts identified to date, develop a proposal for a schedule of meetings with external experts as well as review and refine the questions for external experts as well as developing the outreach communication for external experts. As indicated on the call, preference will be given to those with experience in the funding environment. This work is expected to take place in the next two weeks, so please factor that in as you think about volunteering. As also highlighted during the previous meeting, further consideration will need to be given to the form/nature of a declaration of interest for these external experts.

As a reminder, these were the two action items coming out of the meeting in relation to this topic:

Action item #4: Form a small group consisting of leadership team and small number of CCWG members/participants that have experience in funding environment to make recommendation to how to cluster experts identified, proposal for calls, and review questions identified. Recommendation to be made in time for next CCWG meeting.

Action item #5: CCWG members / participants interested in joining this small group to inform the leadership team of their interest. Note that objective is to deliver proposal to the CCWG in time for next CCWG meeting so it requires availability in the next two weeks to work on this. (Staff to circulate separate call for volunteers to the mailing list).
