[CWG-RFP3] Who will your rapporteur or coordinator be?

We shouldn’t put too much on Greg although his role as coordinator will be very important.  Jonathan and Lise as CWG co-chairs will certainly have responsibility in subgroup (s) 3 just like they do with all subgroups in terms of facilitating progress and assisting the rapporteurs and coordinators.  With regard to reaching consensus, I have always found it helpful to have a small group of leaders that consult with one another in decision making and in particular in evaluating consensus levels.  As we get closer to that point and even in the meantime, the team of Greg, Jonathan and Lise can collaborate together in their respective leadership roles and there may be other leaders that surface who can join them in their leadership and facilitation roles for subgroup(s) 3.

I think Greg would make an excellent coordinator.

I agree with Chuck that chairs/co-chairs of CWG would be overburdened coordinating between the different sub-groups. This sub-group requires dedicated attention.

Additionally, I dont think Lise and Jonathan are a part of the RFP3 mailing list.

@Greg: As coordinator,
1) please ensure that some time is dedicated to substantive discussions in the next call; or if required, please do arrange for a separate call for RFP3. The current agenda for the call on the 4th has no such time allocation for RFP3.

2) please ensure that all interested members from CWG are a part of RFP3. I see that informed and participative voices like those of Becky and Milton are not a part of RFP3. If you could send a final reminder on the main mailing list.

3) i think the responsibility of trying to identify consensus within the sub-group would fall on you. I think, as of now, we dont have consensus on the basic option/scenario that we wish to proceed with. For example, Avri and Fouad have voiced concerns about having a standing oversight whereas there has been no substantive discussions on alternative options/scenarios. Maybe you could start a separate thread where non-standing-oversight options/scenarios are also discussed in parallel.
