Thanks Elise, this is great news.

We'll be in touch with Kim about our plans moving forward.

I know you (IANA) has put together various documents/information related to the transition. It would be useful if, as a starting point, Kim could pull together those documents he considers would be useful for our exercise. Our Design Team had our first call this morning and we're still working out the best way to approach the task. I think what would be really useful would be an understanding, from IANA's perspective, of the 'tasks' that fall under the purview of the IANA transition umbrella. What also would be really useful is to understand the relationship management side of things, for example who owns the relationship between ICANN and IANA in terms of contract management and day-to-day tasks, or the relationship between IANA and direct customers.

As an FYI, I've also been in touch with Ashley Heineman and she has also agreed to assist where she can with our Team.

I am writing to you as the Co-Lead of a Design Team C-Customer Service Committee (CSC) of the CWG to request your agreement to have Kim Davies join this Design Team to provide invaluable expertise as it relates to current IANA functions.

The attached document provides a detailed description of the proposed work.

I apologise for the short notice, but we are hoping to kick off this work tomorrow with a call and make considerable progress prior to a face-to-face meeting of the CWG in Istanbul at the end of this month.
