[ECAdmin] Secretary's Notice to Empowered Community of Board Approval of (1) IANA FY25 Operating Plan and Budget, (2) ICANN FY25 Operating Plan and Budget and (3) ICANN FY25-29 Operating and Financial Plan

Dear Empowered Community Administration representatives,



Under the ICANN Bylaws, delivery of the Secretary’s Notices on 9 May: (1) requires Decisional Participants to “promptly inform their constituents” of the delivery of such notices; and (2) triggers three 21-day Rejection Action Petition Periods, during which an individual may submit a petition to any Decisional Participant, seeking to reject the Board action.



These 21-day periods for (1) IANA FY25 Operating Plan and Budget, (2) ICANN FY25 Operating Plan and Budget and (3) ICANN FY25-29 Operating and Financial Plan commenced on 9 May 2024 and will end at 23:59 PDT on 30 May 2024, or 06:59 UTC on 31 May 2024. Please refer to Article 2, Annex D of the ICANN Bylaws for additional details on the Rejection Process, including all pertinent deadlines and requirements for Rejection Action Petitions: https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/governance/bylaws-en/#annexD

Please note that along with the transmittal of the Notice of Board of Approval of the IANA FY25 Operating Plan and Budget, you also received the Notice of Board Approval of the ICANN FY25 Operating Plan and Budget as well as the Notice of Board Approval of the ICANN FY25-29 Operating and Financial Plan. With the transmittal, three separate Empowered Community periods are now active.
