Hi Tijami and Wafa,

Special budget request are for items that are generally not for outreach. They are for items either out of region or special programs like the alac training or a fellowship or my captioning project.

Cropp is designed for outreach to your ralo.it is designed to get either more new alses to sign up or to better explain what alac's role in icann is.  As such many of the proposals presented yesterday were really designed for cropp and not for a special budget request which is expnaded to outreach but only outside your region

One change that was done in cropp this past year is that if you wanted a program that lasted more than 2 nights 3 days you could merge two cropp slots together. So if you wanted 4 trips but one to be for 4 nights 6 days you could now do that. Cropp pays registration and travel and hotel. There is also some small provisions for brochures or other communications, but Dev would know more and so i am ccing him to this email
