[gnso-improvem-impl-sc] Election/Selection of Chair and Vice Chair for 2016

Dear SCI members,

Per the SCI Charter at https://community.icann.org/x/L4Hg, each December the
SCI has to nominate, select and (if necessary) elect a Chair and Vice Chair
for the following year.  We are now beginning this process for 2016.  Only
primary members of the SCI (i.e. no alternates) are eligible to stand for
either position.  Please see the list of members at:
https://community.icann.org/display/gnsosci/3.+Members (and note the
request, sent separately, to confirm the representatives from your groups).
Per the Charter, the Chair and Vice Chair shall serve for a one-year term
with the option to continue for a second one-year term.

Anne Aikman-Scalese will have served one term as Chair as of the end of 2015
and thus is eligible to continue for a second one-year term in 2016.  If
there is more than one nominee/volunteer for Chair, the Charter prescribes
how an election will then be run.

Rudi Vansnick will have served served one term as Vice Chair as of the end
of 2015 and is eligible to continue for a second one-year term in 2016.
For the avoidance of doubt, time served as Vice Chair shall not prohibit the
Vice Chair from serving as Chair.  If there is more than one
nominee/volunteer for Vice Chair an election will be run as per the Charter.

Interested SCI members should volunteer or submit nominations for either the
Chair or Vice Chair position.  Please send all candidate nominations
(including self-nominations) to this list in two weeks, or not later than
Tuesday, 15 December.
