Jorge,

1. The language discussion is open.
2. During the call we opened up the conversation and referred to the email exchanges, which were kicked off with Katrin’s input.
3. We encouraged the discussions to continue on the list and will pick up again next call.

Regards,

Martin

Languages: At our last meeting we reviewed the comments relating to the language requirement for geographic terms: "An application for any string that is a representation, in any language, of the capital city name of any country or territory listed in the ISO 3166-1 standard". There was general acceptance and no objections towards refining the language requirements to reflect more relevance and practical applicability. At this stage, the group considered the following option to be a suitable base for further discussion:
> i.The official language of the country/territory/capital city.
> ii.Translations of the country/territory/capital city in UN languages.
