[gnso-rds-pdp-purpose] "What is WHOIS data used for?" page on ICANN web site

I have reviewed the pages on WHOIS information and in my view it is
extremely biased. There is another point of view, that individuals and
groups are entitled to privacy on the Internet, and should not have
their sensitive data (name address phone number political or religious
association ) displayed in a public directory. That view is not
represented by ICANN on its web pages, despite over a decade of civil
society and the data commissioners petitioning ICANN to respect it.
I take your point, it is up there, let us collect it in our exercise,
but let us not blindly accept it from a policy perspective
