For the record, I did send a note off-list, which I started in the
usual way with "offlist" to make it clear that I was intending to take
communication private -- because it didn't seem like something worth
bothering the list with.  I see that effort has failed.

If it is useful to the Chairs I will cheerfully forward that off-list
note to them (copying the original correspondent for transparency);
but I think the WG has had rather enough of this topic already.  I
regret having responded in the first place, and I wouldn't have except
for the apparent prevalence, when it comes to the topic of RDS, of all
manner of fanciful ideas about what is and is not technically possible
on the Internet.

I do hope that other participants, noting that not a single one of my
original questions has been answered, will take the assertions I was
asking about to be supported by exactly as much evidence as has been
presented.
