Hello all,

Something has been bugging me for a few months now ALOT.

What's bugging me?

  * Data protection laws, keep changing
  * Changes in purpose and legitimate purposes
  * The increasing number of data protection laws
  * Acting on old information or wrong information or not able to find
    the information
  * Not being able to track on a global level what is going on with all
    these laws
  * Type of consent, consent requirements, retention of consent, etc

This morning I was reading an article about India and their plans for a
rather ambitious data protection legislation later this year.
As a Registrar we are .IN accredited and up till today I haven't given
this ccTLD any thought when it comes to privacy as there are no real
data protection laws in India.

The above was the trigger to check if I could get a grip on this without
spending a lot of time and money.
And there is:

Want to compare DP laws between the Netherlands and China? I bet you do! ;)

Perhaps this can help us when we discuss gated access and legitimate
purposes and other discussions.

Best,

Theo

Ps, the full handbook that is available for download, this handbook
contains key information about the GDPR changes that will apply to all
registrars and registries (regardless of their location) who wish to
continue to do business with EU registrants.
