[gnso-rds-pdp-wg] Article 29 Working Party to ICANN

Unfortunately, ICANN is a Data Controller (due to requiring other parties to collect/process in particular fashion sets of personal data), and in some situations might be Data Processor (audit or different researches).

One of the things not many people talk about is that
the domain life cycle needs to be changed to allow Registries to stay compliant with GDPR (THICK ones).

In case of withdrawal of the consent, names should be erased from WHOIS, and it does not work
with the current implementations of Redemption Grace Period and Pending Delete ...

P.s: for some reason ICANN believes to be fined only once ... which is highly questionable,
given the number of EU DPAs and number of potential cases (simplest - Registrars and Registries, which gives at least twice).

Sincerely Yours,
