[gnso-rds-pdp-wg] Article 29 Working Party to ICANN

Hi Allison,

I think we are referring to different issue. I am referring to the
stopgap "solution" post May 25, 2017, not to the end product of this
group. Due to the time constraints and the ICANN approval process, this
will be a very limited solution that hopefully will be adopted by the
whole industry and that will have to continue to evolve to meet
legitimate needs as much as legally possible. That one will have moving
goalposts due to pure necessity.

The end product of our work in this group  will hopefully replace that
with a better solution with fixed goalposts. But we should be clear that
at this point, our product will not replace the current whois, but
rather the make-do solutions introduced in response to GDPR.

However, I am unable to say at this point who will get in past the
goalposts and who won't. It is just too soon to tell.

Best,

Volker
