Hi there,

Great list of questions, I think.

Is it possible to elaborate Q3 so that it's addressing not only which
entities can be authenticated but also about the reasons these entities
are permitted to interact with the data?

Maybe something like:
[Cut]
*_Add_*
If authentication is required to access WHOIS data, please describe the
authentication process.  Also please describe *_which entities qualify
for authentication and_* the permitted purposes for accessing this data
(i.e. [who is able to access the data and who is not] *_the reasons for
which gated or non-gated data may be accessed, used, retained or further
disclosed_* )
