[Gnso-rpm-tmch] Additional updated data tables on TMCH

Dear all,

Staff has further updated the tabular summary document from yesterday with additional information on Sunrise launches. It is attached and we have also uploaded all documents to the Sub Team wiki page: https://community.icann.org/x/VAmsAw.

In addition, based on our last call of 12 August, staff has prepared a set of potential questions for the TMCH Providers, gTLD Registries and Registrars based on input sent to the mailing list so far and the Sub Team calls. Along with the Action Items from last week, please find the current list of questions attached as well.

Please feel free to send your thoughts and comments on both documents to this mailing list ahead of the Sub Team call this Friday. Thank you!

Dear Sub Team members,

Please find attached the latest staff report on data we managed to extract about the TMCH from the initial sources identified – Deloitte public reports/webinars, ICANN staff papers (e.g. the Sept 2015 RPM Staff Paper), and the Analysis Group’s 25 July 2016 draft report on the TMCH.

From the attached, some obvious gaps would seem to be:

·         Any additional data you think the Sub Team/WG might need from Deloitte about usage of the TMCH;

·         Updated data since September 2015 (when the final Staff RPM Paper was published);

·         More comparative (by time period) numbers on SMD files relative to Sunrise periods; and

·         Mapping of TMCH submission records and Sunrise numbers viewed in the context of which, and how many, new gTLDs launched at each milestone date noted in the attached document.

Policy Staff are currently in contact with our GDD colleagues regarding getting access to the monthly Deloitte reports and the Registry and Registrar reports. Getting these may take some time, however. For the next week or two, the Sub Team may therefore wish to focus on the list of questions (building on what was compiled by staff and suggested by Kristine Dorrain) in addition to this data report.

Hi Kurt and everyone – the document that was discussed has now been uploaded to the Sub Team wiki page: https://community.icann.org/x/VAmsAw. As noted on the call, this is only the initial sweep and contains only the data extracted from some Deloitte/IBM and ICANN staff presentations as well as the Staff RPM Paper. We are aiming to not only turn this list into a table with different data points and specific milestone timelines for each, but also to further populate the table with additional data that we hope to glean from the other materials we have not yet been able to review.

Hi David:

I am listening the recording of the meeting right now. Is it possible for you to send or point to the data document that you were reviewing during the meeting? It might be on the wiki but I do not see it.

I am sorry I missed the meeting. For me, it would be better (i.e., fewer conflicts)  if the meeting is later in the day  but I understand this is a burden if there are European members that attend. I plan to attend and fully participate in the future.

This week’s TMCH sub-team call saw a marked drop in participation, the sub-team members online have therefore asked staff to canvas you to determine whether the current weekly meeting time (Friday’s at 15:00 UTC for 60 minutes) is no longer suitable and is preventing participation.

We would be grateful for your views on this and if there is sufficient demand staff will look at alternative options for meeting times.
