Dear David and members of the IOT,

Thank you for the note. Please note that in the Board’s role of having responsibility for the oversight that Bylaws’ obligations are met, including ICANN’s role in consulting with the SOs and ACs on the composition of the IOT, the BAMC is preparing a communication to the SOs and ACs regarding the next steps for gaining new members on the IOT. We expect that note will be ready in a matter of days, and will include more detailed information on the numbers of people we anticipate are needed on the IOT, clarity on how to nominate or seek membership, and the selection process. We are committed to making sure that the IOT has enough members to proceed with the next stage of work. We will look forward to your assisting the SOs and ACs from which you came in identifying potential new volunteers to join this important work.

Best regards,

León

Malcom and I were in touch within the time promised and we have been trying since then in good faith to develop such correspondence.
