Sure, Dr. Data.

We are working with Akshat to finalize the Devanagari LGR, by including the additional variant code points.

Dear NBGP Members and Dr. Sarmad,

While the LGR Proposals are still under review of the IP for final push,
I would like to bring to notice two additional pairs of Variants that
need to be considered for addition to the normative part of the
Devanagari LGR.

ॲं U+0972 U+0902 - अँ U+0905 U+0901
ऑं U+0911 U+0902 - आँ U+0906 U+0901

If there are no comments on the same from the NBGP, in due time, I would
like to request the co-chairs and Dr. Sarmad to consider these to be
included as a part of possible addendum to the Devanagari LGR
recommendation. Consequently, if the IP gives a go-ahead, we would be
able to integrate the same formally into the specification.

Regards,

Akshat Joshi

4. 094A character in the table in 5.2 has been changed to “ॊ” and the corresponding character name has been changed to “DEVANAGARI VOWEL SIGN SHORT O”.
5. Added the Devanagari and Bengali Visarga pair to Appendix B as possible confusables.
