Many linguists and young researchers in India are using Bangla as well. I have also used the term throughout  my doctoral thesis including the PhD topic.

I may like to point that the name of the language is not consistent throughout the list with Bengali (with Prof Uday), Bangla (with Prof Pabitra and Atiur) and even Bangla (Bengali) with Rajib's name. All may be made consistent with the co-chair's consent.
