Hi Alan,

I appreciate you reaching out to me. I believe I will be able to 
contribute in a significantly more productive manner in a few weeks. The 
scheduling of the group meetings and workplan has provided a significant 
challenge due to various factors such as GDPR, an ongoing due diligence 
and personal issues, however the rough seas are almost crossed and I 
expect more smooth sailing ahead shortly after the May 25 GDPR deadline.

It is unfortunate that the monday meeting usually conflicts with our 
most important weekly internal meeting, and that is unlikely to change, 
but leadership was aware of that conflict when that meeting was scheduled.

It is unfortunate that we as a group are setting such a tight but 
ultimately artificial deadline for our work in a time when the whole 
ICANN community and especially contracted parties have to deal with the 
implementation monster of the GDPR.

There may be a chance of me missing this Friday meeting due to a death 
in a family, depending on when the funeral is scheduled.
