[rssac-caucus] Level of detail in the RSSAC meeting minutes

Dear Paul and other RSSAC Caucus Members,

Staff prepares the minutes and we can definitely capture more in them if that is the request. For example, we could include the topic discussed in the update without going into too much detail on the update itself.

Section 1.6.5 of RSSAC000v3 governs the creation and dissemination of minutes. Quoted below:
> 1.6.5 Minutes
> The minutes of meetings include a summary of the discussion and all decisions. Minutes will be publicly available on the RSSAC website. The support staff may record meetings to assist in the preparation of the minutes, but these recordings will be deleted immediately after use. The minutes will contain at least the following elements:
> • participants (with apologies);
> • date and time;
> • meeting venue;
> • agenda;
> • resolutions; and
> • action items.
> The RSSAC normally prepares informal notes of its meetings. Support staff provides these notes to the RSSAC as quickly as possible after the meeting. These notes are not published and have no formal status.

I would like to hear from other RSSAC or RSSAC Caucus members who read the minutes about their thinking on this before we institute the change. So if you’re reading this and have an opinion about the RSSAC meeting minutes please speak your mind.

Thanks,
Andrew
