[social-media-wg] Passed another milestone!

Dear All,

Re tweetdeck, I have been using it for scheduling tweets, monitoring
hashtags, monitoring mentions, and following certain users. It is very handy
esp in terms of RT and scheduling.

Re HootSuite, I agree with Leon that we should look into its capability for
multiple users to tweet on behalf of @ICANN_AtLarge. This may allow us to
send out tweets in more languages, especially in Spanish and French. During
ICANN meetings, it will also allow us to have more effective coverage of
sessions that I couldn¹t attend or couldn¹t tweet much due to other
competing priorities.

Re Storify, I like Yannis idea of developing topic-based stories on certain
issues/policy and telling these stories via multiple social media channels.
I am tempted to do a Œstory¹ on the IANA Stewardship Transition, as it is
very hot right now. It may be a great opportunity for us to reach out to our
target audience, educate them why this issue matters to end-users, and how
At-Large community is making an impact on this issue.

If you guys have ideas or suggestions on developing a series of tweets
around #IANASteward as a starter, it would be wonderful! The key is that we
need to tell the story in a logical manner and provide
background/educational information to fill knowledge gaps.

Cheers,
Ariel

Storify seems to allow us to put together not only the At-Large tweets
ourselves but also relevant tweets of others.

Just thinking perhaps we shall also create topic-based stories on certain
issues/policy and consolidate the relevant tweets into it so that we can see
the development of it?

Thanks
Yannis

Dear all,

I too agree that storify may be of great use for our purposes. May I suggest
we also take a look at hootsuite https://hootsuite.com
<https://hootsuite.com/> as a tool for events in which we may need many
hands twit at the same time from different rooms?

Cheers,

León
