[technology taskforce] TTF proposal to ICANN for FY17 - Fixing the bugs in ICANN’s machine translation tool used for the LACRALO mailing lists

Hello,

While no cost is indicated in the proposal, i expect that it should not
have been too expensive to fund at ICANN level and wonder why this did not
happen. I support this as well, however i think perhaps it could be done as
a joint proposal to address that of AFRALO as well.

I note that the proposal indicated that the tool could be used by AFRALO
(English <> French) but its not clear whether a new set of code development
will not be required. So it may be be good if that part is updated to
include the AFRALO region. Although i understand this is normally a
regional thing, if what i suggest is not possible, perhaps AFRALO could
also submit something similar and then it gets combined at a later time? I
am available to take that up if required
