I consider the following to be seriously impressive. I was amazed when I fortuitously discovered this yesterday.

I happened to look at the Chinese gTLD .网址 (website/web address) and discovered there are many (hundreds? thousands?) Chinese Domain Names of the form "Chinese Historical Figure".网址 (历史名人.网址) Here are just a few of them. The sites are in Chinese so I have also provided the relevant English Wikipedia articles.

Each resolve to a single page site which gives information about the Historical Figure. Within each page there are links to other Historical Figures.

The following explanation may well have errors/misunderstandings as my knowledge of Chinese is rather poor but here is my current understanding.

The above is part of an initiative to offer people the opportunity to register a domain name of the form "my name".网址. Basically the brand is the person. So, for example, if I were to register a domain name with my adopted Chinese name then I would register 小山.网址. The content of my 小山.网址 website would mainly be information about my involvement in Computer Science Internationalisation. Actually I would also have a section about Colour :)

Now, If one visits https://n.knetreg.cn/RJS-lsmr you are given the opportunity to enter a name. I randomly invented the Chinese name 王安安. The system then informed me that there are 4 individuals with the same name and it is not registered and gave me the opportunity to register 王安安.网址  and become "the unique you". I deduce that the system must have access to a database of people names.

This now leaves me with many questions and here are some of them.

How many Chinese Historical Figures have a .网址 site?
Who created the content for the "Chinese Historical Figure".网址's
How many living people have a .网址 site?
