[Ws2-hr] Copenhagen Drafting Team - Further edits to be reviewed with the Subgroup on Tuesday

Dear Colleagues,
So of course I am having my normal troubles with Google docs even though trying to enter in "Suggesting" mode.

Per my previous e-mail, I added a suggested edit re less formal grievance procedures than RFR and IRP at the end of the first section.  Less formal processes should be instituted so that matters could be resolved before reaching this stage.

Then in relation to the Human Rights Impact Assessment section, I added a reference to the fact that HRIAs should "avoid cherry-picking" and be conducted with "due regard to principles of proportionality".  Here I want to be very forthright again about the fact that creator's rights and the rights of indigenous peoples are also human rights.  Too often we hear only about privacy and free expression and it is clear there is a balancing that must occur, especially in the ICANN context.
Especially given the content of the CCWP Human Rights discussion on Wednesday and the SSAC letter, I think these considerations will be important in the processes to come within ICANN.
