Hello Alan,

Just a reminder that ICANN maintains a reserve fund for just this sort of scenario .  It should be adequate to cover the costs of IANA operation in the event that ICANN suffers a drop in revenue in a particular year.    

It would be unusual to have a parent company maintain escrow funds for this sort of thing.   Normally a parent company just provides a letter of guarantee to some level for the subsidiary to satisfy suppliers etc.
